HII Unmanned Systems (HII UxS) is seeking a Customer Support Program Manager to join our Program Management group, this role will report directly to the Sr. Director of Underwater Vehicle programs, in this role you will be responsible for:

  • Execution and financial performance of all aftermarket activities for Underwater Vehicle programs
  • Overall management responsibility for the following;
  • Overall responsibility for customer Relationship Management with DLA Primes
  • Responsible for timely execution of all aftermarket activities, including Spares, Repairs, Training and Customer Support
  • Provides Customer Management for the Repair of equipment, working collaboratively with other Departments including Purchasing, Operations, Engineering, Finance, as well as directly with Vendors, as required
  • Leads the coordination of all Customer product support activities
  • Provides Technical Support management and escalation as needed
  • Provides internal communication, impact assessment, and planning for identified issue resolution, including both local resolution or in situ resolution of fielded systems
  • Provides input to system obsolescence analysis and resolution
  • Manages warranty support, including the adjudication of warranty claims
  • Participates in standard Pricelist Spares and Services proposals, including lead-time determination
  • Develops forward plan Spare parts inventory based on usage schedules and historical data
  • Oversees Government Property management for customer returned equipment
  • Manages disposition of Scrap resulting from repair efforts
  • Support DCMA audit activities as HII Lead
  • Support Export compliance for shipments and technical information
  • Oversee Customer training, including curriculum development, training schedules, training materials, etc.
  • Provide support to Unmanned Systems remote offices, including UK, San Diego, Panama City

What you will be doing..

Responsible for the profit and loss of a large complex program. Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for serving multiple customers requiring developing and managing plans across several subcontractors. Responsible for overseeing a program contained at one primary geographic location however covering remote locations and multiple business functions and employees directly assigned to program. Program may require new technologies. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands services with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees including management level assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

What we are looking for...

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance #LI-MH1

Physical Requirements

Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
