Summary
Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a Network Engineer (Testing) to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Mesa, AZ. The individual’s primary responsibility will be to design and plan testing for network systems; provide specifications and detailed schematics for testing network architecture; create, modify and review network test plans.
What you will do
- Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
- Coordinates integrated testing activities.
- Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program.
- Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you must have
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Must maintain Security+ certification.
- Familiarity with applying Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Checklists and basic critical analysis/troubleshooting in the application of the STIG.
- Experience analyzing network traffic and troubleshooting DIS/HLA packets using Wireshark, DPA, or similar software tools.
- Certifiable knowledge of networking operations and associated peripheral equipment: LANs, WANs, remote access systems, routers, bridges, copper and fiber cabling, and firewalls.
- Expertise in principles, practices, and techniques in the install and maintenance of hardware.
- Expertise in network management tools and problem analysis techniques.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage both project and program activities.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Experience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfalls.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Programs / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in the DoD simulator community.
- Experience supporting SAP efforts.
Physical Requirements
Work will be in a normal office environment. May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
