Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Wiring Technician to support the Aircraft Prototype Systems Division at NAS Pax River. A successful candidate will have an understanding of electrical systems and wiring diagrams, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues. In addition, they should be knowledgeable about safety regulations and procedures and be able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure. 

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for execution of aircraft electrical/electronic modifications including fabrication and installations. 
  • Work with (but not limited to) schematics, modification drawings, wiring layouts, harnesses, wire & parts lists.  
  • Use aircraft wiring tools, including wire crimpers and continuity testers. 
  • Will generally work under more senior Technicians to accomplish tasking. 
  • The modifications comprise of electrical/electronic circuits and complex interconnect wiring systems.  
  • Work closely with the wiring shop installation leads. 
  • Follow provided instructions and safety protocols 
  • Verify and document completed tasks, will report issues, and provide suggestions as needed.  
  • Test and analyze systems with various equipment including Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, etc. as required. 
  • Travel is required as needed. 

What We Are Looking For: Minimum Qualifications

  • 0 years experience w/ High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic are required traits.  
  • Must be detailed oriented, ensuring accuracy and precision in all tasks. 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. 
  • Strong ability to work individually and as a Team.   
  • Attention to detail regarding instructions for safety/security protocols.  
  • Must obtain (and subsequently maintain) IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification within 60 days
  • Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance 

Preferred: Bonus Points For

  • Associates in related field 
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, avionics, and aircraft wiring standards is desired 
  • Active Secret Clearance 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift and mvoe electrical products of weight, no more than 50 lbs.
