Job Description
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) Mission Technologies Warfare Systems partners with the DoD and defense innovation ecosystem to rapidly acquire and field critical and emerging technologies, particularly integrated communications, networking, and Systems-of-Systems (SoS) technologies, to enhance national security and warfighter capabilities. Through a multiagency contracting approach, the Collaborative Operations for Battlespace Resilient Architecture (COBRA) initiative focuses on advancing these technologies to achieve multi-domain battlespace integration and resilient command and control. This includes a broad range of services such as systems engineering, cybersecurity, operational integration, and data analytics, all aimed at modernizing communications and ensuring seamless information exchange for the DoD and its allies.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Evaluates and assesses the effectiveness of training programs, exercises, and wargames to ensure they meet organizational objectives and improve individual and collective performance. Designs and implements evaluation frameworks and methodologies to measure training outcomes.
- Experience with the PADDIE-M training framework, identifying areas for improvement and aligning strategies with mission goals. Collaborates with Trainer(s), Training and Exercise Specialist(s) (TREX), Instructional Systems Designer(s) and stakeholders to develop meaningful metrics and benchmarks.
- Analyzes data to provide actionable insights for enhancing future training sessions. Facilitates the planning and execution of training exercises and war games, ensuring realistic scenarios that simulate operational conditions.
- Conducts detailed assessments during and after exercises, leveraging lessons learned to refine training approaches, Training Packages (Del. 21) and improve preparedness. Prepares reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and progress toward objectives.
- Integrates advanced tools and technologies such as simulation systems and data analytics platforms to optimize evaluations and ensure accurate analysis of performance metrics. Provides guidance on the development of training materials, aligning content with assessment criteria.
- Supports the continuous improvement of training programs by advising on best practices, innovative methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must possess an active Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience with software/system testing practices
- Knowledge of test plans, test cases, and test automation tools
Preferred Requirements
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity assessment frameworks
- Experience using automated test tools
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
