Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a mission-focused Range Control Facilitator to support live combat training operations at our Pine Castle, FL location. This role is critical to ensuring the safety, accuracy, and effectiveness of air-to-ground training exercises. The ideal candidate will have experience in radio communications, range operations, and electronic scoring systems, with the flexibility to support dynamic mission schedules and environmental conditions.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly via radio with military aviators during live combat training missions.

  • Monitor aircraft ordnance drops and electronically score for accuracy using computerized systems.

  • Record and report scoring data through digital platforms and mission logs.

  • Ensure a safe training environment through personnel access control and range safety procedures.

  • Operate and maintain electronic scoring systems, target simulators, and other range instrumentation.

  • Perform maintenance on systems located in the impact range area.

  • Complete and maintain Job Qualification Standards (JQS) within required timeframes.

  • Drive and operate pickup trucks, ATVs, and heavy equipment to support range operations.

  • Maintain targets, range assets, and facility infrastructure.

  • Support facility access control and security system upkeep.

  • Work in outdoor environments where exposure to wildlife and insects is possible.

  • Travel to support mission requirements and operate on a flexible schedule based on fleet readiness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
 

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in military or civilian air traffic control, radio communications, or range operations.

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs and climb towers or structures as needed.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with aircrews and mission personnel.

  • Willingness to work in variable weather conditions and rugged terrain.

  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • SECRET security clearance required.

  • Must complete all assigned training and maintain certifications required for the role.

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience on NITE related contract

Physical Requirements

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines.
