Summary

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst (QA) to support the Air Force’s Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) program. Selected candidate must be a detail-oriented professional to establish and support quality assurance policies, testing plans, and reports for MAF DMO simulation and training capabilities. Individual will work closely with internal and external program stakeholders to manage program deliverables.

What you will do

Collaborates with engineering and production functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Determine the responsibility for products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality methodologies and utilize quality tools to help drive continuous improvement. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications. Ensures that contract deliverables, internal processes, and engineering projects are adhering to contracted standards.  Develops processes in support of engineering initiatives and program deliverables to ensure prescribed standards are met on a sustained basis.  Provides input to program leads and participates in matrix team operations and projects. Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Development of Quality Assurance policies in accordance with US DoD, USAF, and HII standards.
  • Design and execute quality assurance tests and reviews in support of program deliverables and projects.
  • Research and develop processes that ensure that program deliverables are within regulations, policies and standards.
  • Apply design of experimentation processes to testing for scientific rigor and validation of results.
  • Design sustained program support initiatives that increase quality of delivered products.
  • Keep track of quality metrics

What you must have

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Understanding and utilization of QA methodologies.
  • Experimental design and quality assurance testing experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Knowledgeable in Windows, Microsoft Project, and Visio
  • Experience web technologies, software development and testing using programming languages
  • Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
  • Use agile workflows using project management tools
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Three years experience in design and execution of quality assurance testing.

  • Current or active DoD secret security clearance. 

Physical Requirements

Possible exposure to fumes and irritants normally encountered in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering of data while observing machinery or equipment operations.
