Job Description

Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of an Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS) System Administrator (Sysadmin) to support the Air Force’s Mobility Air Force Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO). The selected candidate must have excellent knowledge in general systems administration and network architectures and experience supporting and maintaining medium to large scale ACAS implementations. The ACAS Sysadmin will work for the MAF DMO Enterprise Services Lead and in conjunction with the Cyber Security team for all technical changes, upgrades, or modifications. The ACAS architecture for each network will be thoroughly diagrammed and documented for configuration management purposes. The ACAS Sysadmin will maintain and sustain ACAS Security Centers and Scanners using Government supplied hardware and software. The ACAS Sysadmin will upgrade Security Centers and Scanners to the most recent software versions as they are approved and released by the DISA ACAS Program.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of ACAS operations and technologies.
  • Remain abreast of industry developments and applicable Government regulations.
  • Able to perform audits, operational analysis, and risk assessments.
  • Research and develop proposals for recommended service enhancements.
  • Research operational issues and providing mitigation recommendations.
  • Develop local policies and procedures aligned with DoD policies and industry best practices.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and architecture diagrams.
  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-motivation.
  • Works independently with little to no supervision researching new technologies or comparing technologies to meet the customers need while providing an unbiased opinion.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II.
  • 1+ years of experience working with ACAS/ACAS Systems Administration.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems administration in a Microsoft Windows or RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.
  • Must be a US citizen, currently hold and able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Operating System certification (RedHat or Windows).
  • ACAS Operator and Supervisor Certificate.
