Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Logistics Management Analyst to manage and coordinate efforts in support of Live Training and counter UAS project efforts. This role will be remote with the ability to travel up to 50% of the time. 

 

The Logistics Management Analyst will support the Joint Network Engineering and Emerging Operations (JNEEO) contract in the planning, coordination, and optimization of logistics operations to ensure efficient flow of materials, services, and information throughout the supply chain. The incumbent for this position will serve as the property book manager across programs while performing the analysis of logistics data, developing process improvements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements while maintaining cost-effectiveness and operational excellence. The analyst applies intermediate-level expertise in logistics systems, supply chain management, and data analysis to support organizational objectives.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions. Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives. Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.

  • Analyzes logistics metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Coordinates with procurement, warehousing, transportation, and customer service teams to resolve logistics issues and optimize operations
  • Develops and maintains logistics documentation, standard operating procedures, and process workflows
  • Supports inventory management activities including forecasting, planning, and optimization to balance service levels with inventory costs
  • Prepares reports, presentations, and recommendations for management regarding logistics performance and improvement initiatives
  • Utilizes logistics management systems and software tools to track shipments, manage data, and generate analytical insights
  • Participates in cross-functional projects to implement new logistics technologies, processes, or system enhancements

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of logistics software systems and data management tools
  • Clearance- Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Professional certification such as APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) or CLTD (Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution)
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting logistics
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization
  • Understanding of import/export regulations and international logistics
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of inventory management techniques and demand forecasting methods

Physical Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to travel both CONUS and OCONUS as required to customer sites and may involve the following:
    • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation
    • Capability to use standard office equipment including computers, phones, printers, and copiers
    • Occasional standing, walking, and movement within office and warehouse environments
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally
    • Visual acuity sufficient to read computer screens, documents, and reports for extended periods
    • Manual dexterity to operate keyboard and mouse for data entry and analysis
    • Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic means
    • Occasional travel to customer sites, distribution centers, or other company facilities may be required
    • Ability to work in both office and warehouse/industrial environments as needed
