Who We Are

HII - Mission Technologies is searching for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Network Communications 3 – C2 Integrator. The C2 Integrator works onsite Battle Lab Simulation Center, Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan supporting III MEF and Navy Surface Warfare Center – Corona (NSWC Corona) in providing Marine Corps LVC training.  The person assists with the planning, design, and execution of III MEF LVC training events The position also supports on-site and distributed training events at other sites, as directed. The Specialist position requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership. Communication skills are required. The position requires flexibility to work non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as NSWC-Corona’s C2 Systems Integrator and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events.  
  • Communicate with the LVC Mission Coordinator on any technical or operational issues.
  • Assist the Mission Coordinator (MC) in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program.
  • Advise the MC on the implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, so they can ensure that it meets technical standards and training requirements.
  • Assist the Mission Coordinator in working with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events

What You Must Have

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Five years’ experience with military C4I systems’ operational and technical integration and system administration.
  • Five years’ experience implementing required system upgrades, configuration changes and security patches while maintaining system functionality.
  • Required IT certifications: Windows Operating System; CompTIA Security + CE (or equivalent or higher). 
  • Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to a US Top Secret clearance if required.
  • Candidate must have the ability to recognize and troubleshoot C4I system problems to assure continued execution of war gaming events.
  • Experience in Windows system administration.  
  • Knowledge of managing clients in a virtual operating system environment, creating and managing accounts and interactive troubleshooting with users. 
  • Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience. 
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience administering and troubleshooting voice communications systems, as well as Windows and Linux systems.
  • Prior military service and Systems Administration or knowledge of the following warfighting and simulation systems:
    • Joint Tactical Command Workstation (JTCW)
    • MAGTF Tactical Warfare Simulation (MTWS)
    • Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS)
    • Tactical Control System (TCS)
    • Global Command and Control (GCCS)
    • Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF)
    • Target Handoff System Version 2 (THSv2)
    • Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS)

Physical Requirements

Job Performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
