Summary
Join HII as we keep the world's most powerful Navy afloat! This position is located in Norfolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will perform corrective and preventative maintenance mechanical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment in support of Maritime Special Operations Forces Support (MSOFS) Watercraft.
*This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.
What You Will Do
-
Perform corrective and preventative maintenance mechanical operation, troubleshooting, repair, and material assessment of all Tactical and Heavy Equipment.

Troubleshoot and material assessment of all CRF CESE equipment in accordance with OEM specifications for make and model to include but not limited to:

Ford Power Stroke Engine, Chevy Duramax Engine, Cummins Diesel Engines, John Deere Engines, Kubota Engines, Mercedes Engines, Caterpillar Diesel Engine, Duramax Turbo Diesel Engine, Allison Transmissions, 4L80E Transmission, 15KW and 45KW Generators, Hydraulic Systems for 55-ton Lowboy Trailers 15K and 30K Forklift Hydraulic Systems.

May train and provide instruction on the various equipment and/or platforms.

May serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for problem resolution and liaison with Government.

Ensures contract deliverables are accurately and timely submitted.
What You Must Have
-
High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.

Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
-
Must have a current, active DoD Secret Clearance and be able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance.

Must have a minimum of six (6) years’ experience as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) mechanic at semi-truck dealership, commercial fleet service shop, Intermediate level military maintenance facility, or have equivalent military experience.

Must have an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in diesel engines and at least two (2) other Heavy Truck Categories such as, Drive Train; Brakes; Suspension & Steering; Electrical; Heating & A/C and Preventative Maintenance.
