Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Circuit Manager. The Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN) Circuit Manager will be responsible for oversight and management of all Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) circuits supporting the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). Duties will include processing new circuit request, requests for escalation when circuit outages occur, and ASI tracking and coordination support. These circuits provide services for 5 enterprise networks and to customers located throughout the world and support enterprise-wide modeling and simulation applications and services for the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE).
This position requires managerial experience, a strong technical background, as well as experience working with Defense Information Services Agency (DISA), Navy Circuit Managment Office (NCMO), and Local Exchange Carrier (LEC) processes and personnel. This job requires regular interface with senior and mid-level military personnel, government, and contractor event ops personnel, as well as engineering staff throughout the organization. #LI-MA2
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Process new or pending circuit requests and route to DISA
• Process and manage circuit upgrades and route to DISA
• EOL circuit transition
• Circuit bandwidth increase
• Review DISA Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs)
• Track all ASIs affecting NCTE
• Coordinate outage with operations to ensure minimal outage
• Request alternate route when impact to operations arises
• Request alternate date for execution of ASI
• Coordinate with DISA when outages are occurring
• Request alternate circuit
• Escalation to DISA DSN
• Shall capture metrics for DISA circuit outages
• Unplanned outages
• Time to resolution
• Impact to operations
• Attend and provide support to the NETTN NOD during routine and emergent circuit planning meetings with the Navy Circuits Management Office (NCMO) that impact NETTN provisioned circuits.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field OR
- 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and digest technical information
- Strong customer focus, the ability to manage customer needs and multiple work priorities
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
