Job Description

The selected candidate will support TSRA and FTA efforts as directed by Auxiliaries Division Management. Demonstrated ability to support TSRA and FTA efforts as directed by Auxiliaries Division Management. This position is located in Norfolk, VA.

 

*This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Demonstrated ability to support TSRA and FTA efforts as directed by Auxiliaries Division Management. Specific efforts shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Onboard technical assistance in support of logistics related audits, inspections, assessments, and other database reviews. Resolve discrepancies and provide reports.
  • Support fleet logistics assistance requests. Requests are typically received via telephone/email and require research of logistics support documents and databases in identifying parts and their availability.
  • Assess availability and validity of onboard systems technical manuals. This shall include maintaining Divisional satellite library.
  • Update and maintain logistics database files.
  • Assist with metrics tracking support for FTS, TA&R to support the 250 Auxiliaries Division workload tracking database system, as required. Provide Non-DTS entry Agent (NDEA) support.
  • Maintain information on SharePoint site relevant to C250 Division, which includes development of programing scripts to assist SME’s optimization of workstation applications (Outlook, FTAs, and TAVR development, and potentially MS Teams and other apps).
  • Provide part location support via applicable databases/websites for division to assist SMEs with providing superior tech repair recommendations to the costumer, that will include location of parts to procure.
  • Assist with Casualty Repair (CASREP) updates, tracking, and dissemination of status to applicable stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Must have recent experience (within two years) maintaining and operating US Navy Auxiliary equipment.
  • Must have experience working knowledge of Navy assessment programs, ship visit procedures, and post-visit reporting methods.
  • Must have experience with multiple platforms for supporting fleet logistics This includes, but is not limited to: FTS, TAR, OneTouch, Defense Travel System (DTS), Navy Data Environment (NDE), Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM), Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC), Validation, Screening, and Brokering (VSB).
  • Must have the ability to review, update, and close assigned jobs in the prescribed government database.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • A current, valid DoD security clearance. 

Physical Requirements

Minimal mobility, dexterity, or coordination required to operate common business machines. Maximum lifting required is approximately 40 pounds from floor to three feet in height.
