HII- Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is looking to hire a Quality Analyst 4 for our HII Nuclear, Maritime Operations Team in Newport News, VA, supporting Newport News Shipbuilding.

This positon will assist in leading a team through a Quality Assurance program overhaul, including standing up the QAI, QAS and Certification Auditor roles and utilization of a new suite of forms.  Candidate selected for this role must be familiar with SUBSAFE program and easily get up to speed on procedures and requirements.

What you will do:

Develops and implements program quality plans and procedures. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies and data related to production. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.

What you must have:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
• 10+ years waterfront experience with Bachelors in related field
• Prior submarine experience
• Familiarity with certification QA documents
• Understanding of the Navy QAI and QAS processes
• Prior experience leading large teams through complex events

The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Physical Requirements

Possible exposure to fumes and irritants normally encountered in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering of data while observing machinery or equipment operations.
