Integrated Product Support within Mission Technologies - Fleet Sustainment, is looking for a Logistics Support 3 to join the team in Hampton, VA. 

What You Will Do

 

  • Provide Integrated Product Support by provisioning of standard and nonstandard provisioning items for all supported aircraft carriers and various classes of submarines and their new construction and overhaul modernization programs.
  • Effectively research part numbers, national stock numbers, and various other applicable data, while also updating material outstanding reports and obtaining price quotes from vendors.
  • Possess a vast supply knowledge of the navy supply system.
  • Utilize numerous supply and logistical computer data systems, and correspondence pertaining to and in support of the provisioning process.
  • Ability to work autonomously and consistently assist and brief Team Lead and Project Manager on all working statuses.
  • Independently interface with material manufacturers and providing customer service by attending to other sections of the company and NNS (Newport News Shipbuilding) helping to resolve problems.
  • Ability to read Drawings and identify items on Parts List.
  • Have good customer service and communication skills.
  • Database knowledge of: ICAPS, Logiquest, I2, CDMD-OA, Client Server, NSEDR, DDMS Viewer, Microsoft Word and Excel.

What You Must Have

 

  • Candidate must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
  • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. 
  • Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a Confidential Clearance. 

Bonus Points For ...

 

  • Possess a vast supply knowledge of the navy supply system is highly preferred. 
  • Ability to research supply data (Part Numbers/NSN's, etc) within various logistics databases is preferred. 

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
