HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Carrier Validator to join our Carrier Validation Team. In this role, you will work with technical manuals and engineering drawings to conduct logistic technical evaluations of equipment and materials documented in those resources.

What You Will Do

  • Provide support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
  • Determine maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
  • Modify maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
  • Develops requisitions and maintains records for equipment, components, repair parts, and related technical manuals.
  • Tracks logistics materials and parts to ensure proper allocation within storage facilities.
  • Reviews configuration changes to assess their impact on logistics deployment.
  • Documents the condition of equipment, components, and parts, and identifies the necessary logistics support documentation—such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards—to support the product throughout its life cycle.
  • Use engineering drawings and data to develop aircraft carrier hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic system/equipment configuration, logistic, and alteration records. 
  • Research planned and accomplished changes to shipboard equipment and systems in order to develop new and modified configuration, logistics, and alteration records for individual ship configuration databases. 
  • Participate in and interpret results of sight validations of shipboard systems and equipment.
  • Use government-provided software and computer systems to develop and modify configuration, logistics, and alteration records.

What You Must Have

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 year’s additional education and/or related experience.
  • Candidate must have experience in the operation, maintenance, or design of Naval Hull, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic systems.
  • Candidate must have the ability to read and interpret ship arrangement, installation, and system drawings.
  • Candidate must be able to learn how to hierarchically organize and assign the correct technical coding to Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic shipboard systems within CDMD‑OA.
  • Candidate must be proficient with basic PC applications, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Candidate must be capable of sight-validating shipboard (marine) systems and equipment, performing shipboard validations, and conducting logistic technical analyses of shipboard (marine) equipment.
  • Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a confidential security clearance.
  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.

Bonus Points For Having!

  • Warfare-qualified with prior service onboard LHA, LHD, or CVN platforms.
  • Expertise in shipboard system operation, maintenance & repair and the Navy’s preventive maintenance system.
  • OMMS-NG and CSMP experience.
  • Experience with parts screening databases (GDAPL, HAYSTACK, FEDLOG, LogiQuest).
  • Four years of experience in the operation and maintenance of shipboard electrical and internal communications systems.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
