Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great opportunity for an Industrial Security Analyst 2 in a secured facility to assist with the security administration and enforcement of the security plan at its Net Center site in Newport News, VA. In this position you will carry out the security measures necessary for implementing requirements of government security regulations, security policies and procedures. Primary duties include the execution of the daily security program requirements. Adheres to and enforces security policies and procedures required for the safeguarding of classified information at the local facility.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
• Aids in developing, maintaining and administering security programs and procedures for classified documents, and equipment.
• Studies and aids in the implementation federal security regulations that apply to operations.
• Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
• Maintains manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting staff and visitors access to restricted records and materials.
• Aids in managing all aspects of security activities including document control, visitor control, and personnel security.
• Provides guidance and instructions to all employees to ensure any event, circumstance, or act that could be considered a breach of security is reported immediately.
• Conducts security trainings, briefings, and debriefings.
• Manages, protects, and safeguards all classified materials (receive, control, route, store, mark, package, mail, and destroy all classified materials and their associated records).
• Perform audits of classified materials to ensure inventory is accurate and in compliance with NISPOM.
• Administers Defense Information for Security System (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and Access/Portal Commander activity including processing and maintaining personnel security clearances and visit requests.
• Maintains visitor control functions and verifies visit authorization requests (VARs) for submission.
• Investigates and reports security violations and assists with incident reports.
• Maintains all records in compliance with our security manual and procedures.
Requirements: I have already done that or have it!
• 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
• ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate concepts clearly.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with industrial security advancements/changes.
• Strong knowledge and use of Department of Defense systems and applications which includes DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT.
• Knowledge and experience enforcing security policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and experience using an Inventory Management System, desired.
• Experience in the management of a cleared facility.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
