Who We Are
Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a GRID Software SME/ Software Developer to support Modeling, Simulation and Training at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis AFB, NV. The individual’s primary responsibility will center on providing system support of the Global Reuseable Interface Domain (GRID) to ensure optimal performance within JSE at the JITTC-N.
What You Will Do
Maintain continuous operation of the GRID program and services to ensure effective support of missions and the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) is operating at optimal performance levels. This will include, but are not limited to:
• Daily Maintenance/Optimizing GRID software in existing simulation environment
• Troubleshooting the GRID software architecture/configuration to identify deficiencies as it relates to JSE-Nellis requirements
• Generate Deficiency Report (DRs) identifying during troubleshooting phase
• Coordinating with internal and external software developers to remedy GRID software issues.
• When necessary, developing C++ Software Development Fixes of Identified GRID software deficiencies.
What You Must Have
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- Must have had an Active TS/SCI clearance within the last 24 months.
- Experience with GRID and GRID services and interactions with other JSE components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in both hardware and software contexts, including integration with diverse simulation environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of simulation network principles as they apply to simulator systems.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing complex systems in a high-stakes environment.
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills to produce and maintain technical documents and procedures.
- Software development experience to diagnose/identify GRID software issues and submit DRs.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must be a US citizen.
Bonus Points For...
• Experience in JSE, preferably as an Integration Engineer or Software Developer.
• Previous experience with operating in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environment.
• Experience in software design, test and implementation within DoD flight simulators.
• Experience contributing to the system design or architecture of new and current systems.
• Experience with Agile software practices.
• Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) efforts.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills.
• BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Degrees in Engineering, Math, and Physics may qualify with at least 1 year of C++ and/or Python experience.
