Who We Are

Mission Technologies, a Division of HII, is seeking a Command and Control (C2) Operations Subject Matter Expert as a member of the Modeling, Simulation, and Training team at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV.

 

The individual’s primary responsibility is loading Next Threat Generation System (NGTS) scenarios and prepping desired entities (number, loadout, etc.) for the Battlespace Environment. In addition, responsible for performing Transfer of Ownership (ToO) of aircrafts, coordinating with Control Room Coordinator (CRC) for launching of pending entities, such as Bombers for escort scenarios, MALD, etc., and managing constructed entities in a realistic manner within the simulation environment. Additionally, the C2 Operations SME will be responsible for loading and operating various C2 related systems while controlling constructed and virtual entities. 

 

What You Will Do

  • Operating consoles to provide realistic Battlespace Environment. Duties will include, but are not limited to: 
  • Orchestrate and operate constructive representation of battlespace environment for test and training missions using NGTS Battle Monitor software.    
  • Develop and/or assist in the creation of Behaviors using NGTS Behavior Editor software and entities using the NGTS Player and Parametric Editor software. 
  • Operate BC3, MSCT, ASCOT or other and additional C2 focused applications for themselves and the customer audience. 
  • Operate mission recording and playback software during the test and training missions.  
  • Assist in the ToO of aircrafts to support test and training missions. 
  • Provide feedback and assist in the creation and modification of mission-planning materials to ensure participants achieve maximum training. 
  • Report issues related to stimulation software applications and provide basic trouble shooting support. 

What You Will Do

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Understanding of Air Force terminology to implement and operate a realistic battlespace for test and training. 
  • Work Environment: Position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
  • Must be capable of working morning and evening shifts to accommodate flexible schedule training operations.  
  • Must have had an Active Top Secret Clearance within the last 24 months.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD TS/SCI and relevant SAP/SAR Clearance.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Next Generation Threat System (NGTS) Software to include: NGTS SimCore, Player Editor, Parametric Editor, Behavior Editor and recording and logging functions. 
  • Military experience as a C2 controller for large force exercises and/or USAF Weapons School squadrons. 
  • Current and active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance. 
  • Experience with BC3, MSCT, and ASCOT 5 or newer. 
  • Advanced aircraft simulator experience and scenario development. 
  • Highly desired – Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) and familiarity with its software components (NGTS, WSCE, DIADS, EAAGLES, GRID, Shot Log, ART, and SCE). 

 

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
