This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary
HII - Mission Technologies in Mountain View, CA is looking for an Information Technology (IT) Systems Administrator (System Application Analyst 1) to support the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU). This position will be responsible for providing basic/advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users. Your primary focus will be on resolving complex hardware and software issues, documenting problems and solutions, and working with other IT team members to develop and implement solutions. You will also be responsible for configuring and maintaining network devices, servers, mobile devices, and other IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users via email, phone, VTC, or in person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware and software problems.
- Provide in-person VTC support as needed.
- Document issues and solutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Work with other members of the IT team to develop and implement solutions.
- Configure and maintain network devices, servers, and other IT infrastructure.
- Ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s data.
- Provide administrative functions on DIU cloud services.
- Reformat, reinstall, and reimage system - WIN, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT projects.
- Provide training and support to end-users on advanced IT systems and applications.
- Follow established hardware and software procurement procedures, inventory management, and asset tracking.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing IT policies and procedures.
- Able to work with the team and follow assigned tasks.
- Onboarding and out-processing users.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to have:
- 0 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
- 2-4 years of experience in technical support or a similar role.
- Familiarity with WIN, macOS, Linux, iOS, and android.
- Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Experience in NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.
- Experience on Google Workspace, AWS, GCP, SIEM, ACAS, XDR, and Linux.
- Experience with Automation scripts/shell - Bash, Powershell, zsh, and python.
- Experience with Network configuration and maintenance- Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Meraki, and Aruba.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good work ethic and is a go-getter.
- Must be US Citizen.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain.
Bonus points for:
- Secret clearance.
- Experience with SIEM, ACAS, XDR, and Linux.
- Hands-on experience with FedRAMP-authorized cloud platforms and demonstrated understanding of federal IT security requirements and compliance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with zero-trust architecture principles and modern identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Azure AD/Entra ID, Lastwall).
- Experience configuring enterprise VTC/AV systems (Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with server virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and/or containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience contributing to or authoring IT policies, documentation, or formal IT project plans.
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, DISA STIGs, CMMC, or related federal security control frameworks.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CySA+; Microsoft 365 Certified (Administrator Expert or Security Administrator); Google Professional Cloud Administrator; or CISSP.
