Job Description
Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Configuration Change and Release Manager to join our USPS contract. This role is ideal for an experienced individual with configuration and/or release management experience leveraging Agile tools and methodologies. This role can be worked remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administration, scheduling and support for assigned program.
- Develop policies, procedures and guidelines for program administration.
- Be responsible for all deployment documentation by maintaining existing and creating new deployment documents.
- Create new policies and procedures for assigned program.
- Coordinate with the application team, which will include Project Managers, developers and testing teams.
- Log/track issues and manage resolutions.
- Process escalations to other teams as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
- Client experience requirements: 5+ years of software development, configuration and/or release management experience.
- Able to support on-call activities, after hours support and deployments as needed.
- Experience with multiple types of software development lifecycle (SDLC) including Waterfall and Agile development.
- Demonstrated skills in the areas of critical thinking, problem solving and effective time management skills.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, highly-communicative team environment.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal) with multiple levels of the organization and external customers.
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a USPS Sensitive Clearance.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years.
- Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years.
Preferred Requirements
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, Project).
- Experience with the following applications is preferred:
- HP-Application Lifecycle Management
- Remedy
- Subversion
- Experience with J2EE development – application architectures, frameworks, design patterns, interfaces, servers and web services is a plus.
