Job Description

HII – Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking a Senior Russian Translator to work in a "virtual workforce environment" for our customer located in the Northern Virginia area, to support an upcoming anticipated contract.  

 

This position is authorized to work remotely. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Senior Translator performs the full range of activities in processing material or participating in situations requiring an advanced professional capability in requisite professional disciplines. A translator at the senior level can successfully apply a translation methodology to translate a wide variety of complex texts that contain difficult, abstract, idiomatic, highly technical, and colloquial writing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A score of 4 to 4+ for translation into English from Russian on the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) scale
  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if necessary 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC)
  • Experience with multiple IC organizations
  • Experience gathering, producing, and evaluating information supporting diplomatic, intelligence, and military efforts to combat the proliferation of weapons, including both weapons of mass destruction, long-range missiles, and certain conventional weapons.
