HII – MDIS is currently seeking a Mid-to-Senior Program Manager to oversee a team of Quality Assurance Linguists working in a "virtual workforce environment" for our customer located in Northern Virginia to support an upcoming anticipated contract.  
HII-Mission Driven Innovative Solution (HII-MDIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.  

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. 
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.  
  • Managing a virtual workfoce of approximately 10 linquists.
  • Responsible for deliverables including running quality assurance discrepancy log as well as monthly and quartelry status reports.
  • Meeting with customer on-site upon request.
  • Coordinating necessary training on customer production system or other quality assurance tools.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Open Source Intelligence experience deriving insight from textual or audio soucrces such as television, Internet, mobile apps, gray literature, and hard-copy publications in a target foreign language.
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous employment at the Open Source Enterprise, a US government organization dedicated to open-source intelligence.
  • Prior management of foreign-language translators
  • Foreign language translation quality assurance expertise
  • Prior experience as a llinguist in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Dari, Persian/Farsi, French, Korean, Russian, Spanish, or Urdu.
