Job Description

 

HII is hiring a Military Operations Analyst for the (NITE) Navy Integrated Training Environment.  The Tactical Data Analyst is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all computer information services, data processing hardware and software related to the TDL systems.


The candidate will work in close coordination with other team members, departments, and external entities to update, monitor, and maintain workstations, servers and network devises used throughout the enterprise.  Additional duties include performing client/server software and hardware updates and network connection updates maintaining systems compliances with DOD Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) requirements. Additionally, the position requires flexibility to work occasional non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements.

Essential Job Responsibilities

 

Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises. Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.  Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force. Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives. Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.  Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.  Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.  Coordinate with external Tactical Data Link (TDL) communities, testing and training ranges, and planning comities to ensure the Lemoore NITE TDL infrastructure is compatible with and capitalizes on the existing DoD TDL infrastructure. Able to read, update and create new technical drawings.  Plans, evaluates, and coordinates installation, update, reconfiguration of related systems.  Monitors, evaluates, and works with local Joint Multi-functional Data Link Network users and operators on improvements of employed networks.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR
  • 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR
  • 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Two years Multi-Tactical Data Link’s (TDL)
  • COMPTIA Security + certificate or equivalent IAT Level II
  • Currently hold an US Secret security clearance.
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Technical Report writing experience preferred.
  • Communications Security experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

 

  • May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
