This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Rotational Air Mission Planner to support our government customers in Europe. The location will be determined based on the needs of the contract at the time of hire but will take place in Greece or Romania.

You can expect each rotation to be approximately 90 days in the selected location. During this time, your schedule will be 56 hours per week or 112 hours every two weeks.

What You Will Do

  • Develops detailed schedule of aircraft overhaul on a constantly moving minute-to-minute basis in relation to the availability of staff, skills, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and required work areas consistent with the aircraft release schedule and cost forecasts.
  • Determines work operations required and the tooling, equipment, materials, employee skills, and hours necessary for their accomplishment.
  • Plans recommend and coordinate the sequencing and allocation of daily workload for efficient use of staff, skills, and space. Integrates non-routine work into scheduled workload; assigns jobs according to the skills, experience, and training of mechanics; develops requirement forecasts; investigates the recoverability of parts and components and determines appropriate reconditioning processes.
  • Reviews job progress and make adjustments to the planned schedule to meet changing workload conditions. Maintains records of production, units in process, inventories, project accomplishment, aircraft overhauls, staff performance, and current and projected workloads.

What We Are Looking For

  • Associates Degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience.
  • Develops detailed schedule of aircraft overhaul on a constantly moving minute-to-minute basis in relation to the availability of staff, skills, tools, equipment, parts, materials, and required work areas consistent with the aircraft release schedule and cost forecasts.
  • Determines work operations required and the tooling, equipment, materials, employee skills, and hours necessary for their accomplishment.

Preferred Requirements

  • Former military remotely piloted aircraft pilot
  • Extensive writing and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances during site surveys. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a lap top computer.
