This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Site Lead to oversee all contractor aviation and intelligence support activities at Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATF South) in Key West, FL. The Site Lead serves as the senior onsite representative responsible for managing personnel, synchronizing operational support, and ensuring effective coordination between Government leadership, aviation subcontractors, and interagency partners conducting counter‑illicit trafficking missions in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility.
The Site Lead provides strategic oversight of ISR flight operations, ensures the efficient employment of contracted ISR aircraft, and maintains continuous alignment between mission requirements and operational execution. This position provides technical direction, leads daily coordination efforts, resolves operational gaps, and ensures seamless communication across military, interagency, and partner‑nation organizations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all onsite contractor operations at JIATF South, serving as the primary interface between HII, Government leadership, aviation subcontractors, and interagency partners.
  • Supervise and mentor onsite personnel, ensuring compliance with security, operational standards, and mission expectations.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aviation and ISR support activities, maintaining situational awareness of strategic objectives and operational priorities.
  • Prepare and deliver operational briefings, written reports, mission updates, and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure the effective planning, scheduling, and execution of ISR sorties, optimizing asset usage based on expert knowledge of aircraft capabilities.
  • Facilitate daily coordination sessions and cross‑organizational meetings to synchronize mission activity and enhance interagency cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate and current contact lists across interagency, international, and organizational partners.
  • Identify communication gaps, develop corrective solutions, and enhance operational information flow across the command structure.
  • Provide high‑quality analytical documents, operational papers, and mission‑support products for JIATF South and partner organizations.
  • Conduct detailed post‑operation reviews and deliver recommendations for mission improvement and asset optimization.
  • Oversee COMSEC responsibilities including keymat loading and cryptologic equipment accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with all security requirements and provide technical guidance to staff as needed.
  • Serve as the senior communication conduit between aviation assets, command elements, and interagency partners, ensuring timely and accurate information sharing.

What We Are Looking For

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Aviation and ISR operations.
  • Familiarity with Joint Airborne ISR TTPs.
  • Extensive knowledge of IMINT and SIGINT capabilities for modern manned ISR platforms.
  • Experience planning and managing mission schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience serving as an ISR/Aviation Liaison Officer with aircrew, operational commands, and interagency partners.
  • Understanding of SPINS, Airspace Control Orders, and Air Tasking Orders.
  • Intelligence background in imagery analysis, collection management, or all‑source analysis.
  • Experience supporting operational centers such as CAOCs, including ATO cycle planning and execution.
  • COMSEC experience with keymat loading and cryptologic equipment management.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Must meet Combatant Command access requirements and possess a valid U.S. passport for OCONUS travel.
  • Must be willing to deploy OCONUS when required.
  • Ability to operate effectively in military and interagency settings.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • 10 years’ experience with Joint Airborne ISR TTPs.
  • 7 years utilizing IMINT/SIGINT capabilities for manned ISR assets.
  • 5 years supporting operational centers such as CAOCs with ATO cycle planning and execution.
  • APACS and FalconView route‑planning experience.
  • Knowledge of HF/VHF/UHF signal usage in the SOUTHCOM AOR.
  • Experience working in partner‑nation fusion centers (e.g., Embassy Bogotá).
  • Understanding of geopolitical considerations and regional dynamics across SOUTHCOM.
  • Familiarity with Counter‑Narcotics and Transnational Criminal Organization tactics.
  • Qualified aircrew experience.
  • Multiple tours supporting airborne ISR missions.
  • Previous LNO experience supporting USSOUTHCOM or JIATF South operations.
  • Proficiency in FalconView
