HII-TSD is currently seeking a Junior Microsoft Systems Administrator to work out of Fort Belvoir, VA.
- Server administration in Microsoft (MS) Windows environments, including MS Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2 to include performance monitoring and tuning. Able to make recommendations to improve overall system performance and application efficiency
- Participating in the administration of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP for organizational server assets in production and development environments
- Conduct patch testing, deployment and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with DoD and Army security requirements such as IAVA and STIGs
- Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding system configuration and operation (system diagrams, application topology, data flow, SOPs, business processes, etc.)
- Participating in an on-call production support rotation
- Collaborate with other team members on data center, network administration, backup and disaster recovery efforts and strategies.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
- DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification
- Experience in server administration including supporting and managing servers in a production environment.
- Experience in server administration applying systems patches and STIGs on a Microsoft (MS) Windows Server 2012 R2 and later.
- Experience applying industry best practices for a Windows Server 2012 R2 or later configuration,
- Experience customizing member servers through the use of Role and Feature additions for a Windows Server 2012 R2 or later configuration,
- Experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Bachelors Degree; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement for this job.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
- Three years of experience in server administration including supporting and managing servers in a production environment.
- Two years of experience in server administration applying systems patches and STIGs on a Microsoft (MS) Windows Server 2012 R2 and later.
- Two years of experience applying industry best practices for a Windows Server 2012 R2 or later configuration,
- Two years of experience customizing member servers through the use of Role and Feature additions for a Windows Server 2012 R2 or later configuration,
- Two years of experience managing Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
