Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled professional to oversee and supervise the operational aspects of ongoing projects, ensuring seamless coordination between HII Leadership, emplacement/installation project management, and project teams. In this role, you will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and reporting on critical construction and installation projects, supporting mission readiness and operational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of maintenance, equipment installation, and operational analysis. This role requires an individual who excels in project coordination, compliance, system integration, and technical oversight, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects within defined timelines and strategic objectives.
What You Will Do
- Oversees and supervises the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between HII Leadership, emplacement/installation project management and project team.
- Supervises timelines for completion of installation projects and coordinate with senior HII leadership to share with Customer.
- Responsible for analyzing and providing recommendations to HII leadership regarding strategies for the safe and effective completion of operations, communications, and mission readiness.
- Provide support and visual verification during equipment installation and testing, including hardware/software upgrades as required.
- Prepare Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports describing emplacement/installation progress, milestones, schedule, equipment installs, system problems and recommended solutions to HII Leadership to share with Customer as required.
- Utilize the Maintenance Material Management (3-M) system for all technical equipment/subsystems installed.
- Perform all required preventive/corrective calibration, alignment, knowledge of test equipment, and testing procedures for the installed equipment.
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
What We Are Looking For
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Must have a high degree of technical competence in communications, supervising various aspects of the emplacement/installation project, ensuring compliance, and delivering the project milestones according to timeline and specifications.
- This includes overseeing quality control, supervising contract performance, and maintaining records for HII Leadership and Customer, as well as adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Proficient in the use of PCs and word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Material Management (3-M) system for technical equipment and subsystems.
- Strong understanding of equipment installation, system integration, and maintenance protocols.
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance.
- Willing to travel up to 25%
Preferred Requirements
- Relevant certifications in systems engineering or installation management.
- Experience using signal processing, electronics, and communications equipment.
- Proficiency in preventative/corrective calibration, system alignment, and testing procedures.
- Strong skills in report preparation—Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports on milestones, system performance, and challenges.
- Proven ability to analyze risk, develop strategic solutions, and ensure compliance with technical requirements.

Normally subject to minimal hazards associated with the office environment. Exposure to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial environment.
