HII - Technical Solutions Division (TSD) is currently seeking an IA/Cyber Security Specialist to work out of their Lexington Park, MD office.
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

 

  • Establishes standards, practices, and procedures and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure timely assessment and authorization of various business systems through Authority to Operate (ATO) approval in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).  Ensures the ATO is maintained for multiple software configurations
  • Develops, reviews, evaluates and implements cybersecurity controls and test plans ensuring adherence to government directives, standards
  • Evaluates releases of IA Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins as well as other required remediation and ensures that vulnerability mitigation efforts are facilitated across the assigned environments
  • Performs Security Impact Analysis (SIA) research and assesses the impacts of system modifications, technological advances, etc.
  • Reviews system security documentation in order to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend improvements to amend vulnerabilities, implement changes and document security relevant changes

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 Years relevant experience with Bachelors; 1 Year relevant experience with Masters; An additional 4 years of specific job experience with a HS diploma may be substituted for the Bachelor`s degree requirement for this job. This experience is additional to subsequent relevant years of experience listed with the job`s education requirements. 
  • Knowledge and experience securing DoD systems using the RMF
  • Demonstrated experience to support and maintain security processes, procedures and policies for all platforms, systems and networks
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance scans, the Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and the Risk Assessment Report (RAR)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and drafting project milestones, progress monitoring, quality control, maintenance, or training documentation related to information assurance activities
  • Must be a team player and possess a strong ability to work collaboratively as well as be able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative and have an ability to organize daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, various levels of Navy civilian management with assorted levels of cyber security experience
  • Committed to results and success in accomplishing goals, as well as a fast learner with demonstrated ability to quickly learn technology, process and understand unique system requirements
  • Strong initiative, detail orientation, organizational skills, aptitude for analytical thinking
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment across several projects and teams
  • DoD 8570 IAM Level I is required for hiring and must obtain IAM Level II within six months of hire
  • Must get Navy Qualified Validator certificate within six months of hire
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Comprehend system infrastructure designs consisting of Windows, Linux OS, networking equipment (routers, firewalls)
  • Experience with Windows/Linux System Administration
  • Data Center DOD RMF Experience is a plus
