Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, has a great remote opportunity for a Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) Industrial Security Analyst 5. This position reports direct to the Vice President of Security & Crisis Management and will assist with security initiatives across the organization. Strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DoD regulations, DFARS requirements, and Industrial Security best practices. The role is responsible for coordinating with internal departments and government agencies.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
• Lead many high priority security projects within the HII Mission Technologies Security Department.
• Develop in-depth training and user guides tailored to security personnel to include an Access Commander user guide.
• Develop, implement and revise security forms, as well as processes and procedures.
• Work closely with the Vice President of Security & Crisis Management on several high level initiatives that require precise attention to detail.
• Function as a member of the corporate security team reporting directly to the Vice President of Security & Crisis Management for HII Mission Technologies to administer the overall HII Mission Technologies security program and will provide guidance and support to HII Mission Technologies field sites.
• Responsible for the administration and coordination of DoD and other industrial security programs and activities to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures.
• Reviews and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations and ensures that HII Mission Technologies remains compliant.
• Obtains rulings, approvals, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
• Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor access to restricted records and materials.
• Prepares and conducts security education classes and security audits.
• Coordinates tasks during security violations and provides guidance for reports and preventive action to be taken.
• Interfaces with government customers on security related issues.
• Serves as the subject matter expert for company initiatives including contract proposals.
• Responsible for preparation, management and interfacing with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) as needed.
• The candidate will also perform other duties as directed.
Requirements: I have already done that or have it!
• 15+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19+ years relevant experience as a security professional supporting the Department of Defense with knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117.
• Candidate must work well in a team environment and possess excellent speaking, writing, organizational, and customer service skills.
• The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple tasks and work well under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Candidate must have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Adobe Pro, DISS, NBIS, NISS (ACCS and NCCS is a plus).
• Evidence of understanding the DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessment (SVA) process and achieving ratings of commendable or above on previous assessments.
• Candidate must have experience using Access Commander.
• Candidate must have a proven track record of creating security forms, processes, and procedures.
• Must have proven experience developing and providing training to security professionals.
• Experience in conducting thorough annual self-inspections as well as mentoring other security professionals in conducting effective self-inspections.
• Experience in administering and managing an Insider Threat Program.
• DCSA FSO certification for possessing facilities is required (CDSE certificate).
• Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with an in-scope background investigation and be enrolled in the Continuous Vetting Program.
Preferred Requirements
• SFPC or ISP certification preferred.
