Position Summary:
HII Mission Technologies has an immediate opportunity available for a Sr Materiel Release Specialist (Logistics Management Analyst 4) for our high performing team located in Huntsville, AL. The Materiel Release Speciailst plans, directs, coordinates, and manages areas of the logistics program which encompasses the operations and activities related to logistical support provided to the Capability Program Executive (CPE) for Aviation / Product Management Office (PMO)
This role requires on-site work in Huntsville, AL and cannot be performed remotely.

Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead the full Materiel Release process for Army Aviation systems, ensuring all documentation, requirements, and validations are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate across PMO, CPE, engineering, test, and sustainment teams to ensure readiness for type classification, safety releases, and fielding decisions.
- Analyze and manage logistics data to support system readiness, sustainment planning, and lifecycle management.
- Track and manage risk related to materiel release, safety, and sustainment, providing recommendations and mitigation strategies to leadership.
- Prepare and brief senior leaders on materiel release progress, logistics milestones, and program impacts.
- Support Army fielding activities, ensuring units receive the materiel, training, and documentation required to operate and sustain new systems.
- Serve as the logistics subject matter expert, advising program leadership on sustainment strategies, lifecycle cost impacts, and readiness drivers.
- Foster collaboration across government and contractor teams to keep logistics deliverables aligned with mission priorities.
- Tracks/monitors MRTS get well planning dates and conditions.
- Informs the Product Support Manager (PSM) of required get well extension request.
- Holds TC/MR Integrated Product Teams (IPT), prepares briefing materials, tracks meeting minutes, maintains action item tracker
- Tracks unit compliance for MWO application.
- Coordinates MWO packages with the Life-Cycle Management Command MWO coordinator.
- Schedules MWO validation (VAL) and verification (VER) events with stakeholders, and Original Equipment Manufacture or Government Agency. Schedules equipment Users for VER activities through the appropriate Capability Manager and or CASCOM.
- Identifies contractual language and CDRLs for MWO requirements to include in the Statement of Work and or Performance Work Statements.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 16 years relevant (logisitics) experience.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs such as, but not limited to MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in DoD Acquisitions and specifications to ensure product planning, development, acquisition, fielding plans, schedules, and strategies
- Must have knowledge and experience with AR 770-3 and DA PAM 770-3 to obtain a weapon System Type Classification (TC) and Materiel Release (MR).
- The candidate will have experience with the processes and staffing of TC and MR packages through the proper Functional Authority’s (FA).
- Must have knowledge of the different Materiel releases for both hardware and software.
- Experience with inputting MR data in the Materiel Release Tracking System (MRTS).
- Knowledge and experience with AR 750-10 Army Modification Program, DA From 7591 Modification Work Order (MWO) fielding plan, DA Form 7592 modification work order exhibit of concurrence.
- Understands Class I and II engineering change proposals and the relationship to the MWO process.
- Experience with inputting/tracking MWOs in the Modification Management Information System (MMIS)
- Must possess an active US Secret clearance at hire
