Mission Technologies, a division of HII has a need for an Engineering Management Lead who has experience with counter rocket, artillery, and mortal, including unmanned aerial systems. This opportunity will support the design and implementation of software programs and analytical schemes for shaping developmental efforts for testing, sensing, tracking, and engaging rockets, artillery, and mortars.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Observe, measure, and collect measurements of data from equipment operations, ballistics flights, flights of both manned and unmanned fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft.
  • Perform analysis at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM). 
  • 15 plus years of documented experience with quick reaction capability development, knowledge of engineering impacts on rapid acquisition processes, and ability to demonstrate basic knowledge of ballistics, guidance techniques, sensor theory (radar), and command and control structures for tracking aerial objects.
  • 5 years of experience in direct management of STEM-related activities.
  • Experience observing, measuring, and collecting measurements and data from equipment operations, ballistic flights, flights of both manned and unmanned fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft as well as the full set of sensors now deployed. 
  • Experience understanding and managing the design and implementation of software programs and analytical schemes for shaping developmental efforts for sensing, tracking, and engaging Rockets, Artillery, and Mortars. This skill must be extensible to Unmanned Aerial Systems. 
  • Must have technical insights into the development, deployment, and operation of integrated systems of systems for identifying, tracking, and engaging aerial targets. 
  • Clearance: A Top Secret security clearance with Active or Current TS/SCI is required.
