HII's Live Virtual and Constructive group is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Integrated Training Systems Software Development team! This is a full-time position located on the customer site in Oahu, Hawaii. As a Software Engineer you will play a critical role as part of in the installation, configuration, verification and deployment of the Joint After Action Review (JAAR) system.

Essential Job Responsibilities

•    Manage technical execution planning through coordination, consolidation and submission for the JAAR program.
•    Recognize system deficiencies and provide technical recommendation for the design, development and systems integration from definition phase through implementation.
•    Attend gov and contractor sync, planning, technical, engineering, requirements, design and reviews, technical and planning meeting and provide meeting minutes as required.
•    Configure manage and track externally delivered software builds.
•    Perform test event setup, configuration and operation of JAAR related interfaces. 
•    Document the setup, configuration, and operation of JAAR software.
•    Perform and document system integration testing of JAAR software.
•    Provide annual updates for JAAR and assist with the analysis of JAAR data source files as required.
•    Provide database update and maintenance activities.
•    Support test events to verify software both locally and CONUS travel.
•    Experience with C# software development on Linux platform
•    Database maintenance experience including adding data, backup and repair of data, importing data from other sources and applying database patches. (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).
•    Operational knowledge of the JAAR program is a plus.
•    Security+ certification (or obtain it within 3 months of hire).
•    Secret Clearance
 

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree in in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or Mathematics with field of concentration in computer science.
•    5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field.
 

Preferred Requirements

•    Operational knowledge of the JAAR program is a plus.
