Summary
HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Military Advisor to provide expert guidance and support to our military clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Joint Fires Observer (JFO) operations, instructor experience, and special operations experience. As a Military Advisor/Instructor, you will be responsible for providing tactical and technical expertise to military units, developing and delivering training programs, and conducting operational assessments. What you will do
- Provide expert advice and guidance on Joint Fires Observer operations, tactics, and techniques to military units and personnel
- Develop and deliver training programs, briefings, and presentations on JFO operations, special operations, and related topics
- Conduct operational assessments and evaluations of military units and personnel to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with military leaders and personnel to develop and implement training plans, operational concepts, and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs)
- Travel to various military installations and training sites to provide support and guidance to military units (up to 50% of the time)
- Develop and maintain relationships with military leaders, personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and operational concepts in JFO operations and special operations
- Additional duties as assigned or required
What we are looking for
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
- 5 years of military experience, with a focus on Joint Fires Observer operations OR Special Operations
- Proven experience as a Joint Fires Observer, with a strong understanding of JFO operations, tactics, and techniques
- Instructor experience, with a proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including to remote and austere locations
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance, with the continued ability to obtain TS/SCI
Bonus points for...
- Master's in a related field
- Experience as a Military Advisor or Consultant
- JFO experience in the INDOPACOM AOR highly desired
- Language proficiency in any of the INDOPACOM regions
- Experience working with Special Operations Forces, such as Army Special Forces, Navy SEALs, MARSOC, or Air Force Special Operations
- Experience with operational planning, execution, and assessment
- Familiarity with military training systems, such as the Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) or the Marine Corps' Training and Education Command (TECOM)
- Clearance: Possess and maintain a TS/SCI
Physical Requirements
Ability to Carry Minimum of 25 lbs over 5 miles
Capability to operate under fatigue for extended durations (15-20 hours)
Altitude - endurance at high elevations (5,000-8,000) ft.
