This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to support our INDOPACOM customer! The INDOPACOM combatant command theater covers over half the earth's surface and provides unique challenges to our National Defense strategy. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • This position is intended for those who want to use their engineering and construction skills or degree; while also learning facilities management and operations skills necessary for operation of the facilities that consist of many different electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Support facility manager and construction engineer in construction coordination, misc. repairs, and maintenance of building facilities.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and safety meet clients’ expectations. Verify engineering systems comply with clients’ requirements.
  • Track and control access to all vendors installing, maintaining, and removing systems or equipment.
  • Provide prompt response to service requests and emergency outages.
  • Frequently works near HVAC equipment and electrical systems, including high voltage distribution systems.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary environments within the facilities.
  • Maintenance of safety and security systems on the facilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, OneNote, and MS Project) for writing reports, recording meeting minutes, creating and maintaining facilities logs, and updating construction schedules.
  • Update, maintain, and record supply purchases in the company inventory book.
  • Budget management
  • Develops and maintains an effective working relationship with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in engineering; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • Experience working with HVAC and/or electrical equipment 
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain up to a TS/SCI level clearance

Physical Requirements

  • Job Performance will normally require lifting and moving of supplies and equipment
  • Climbing ladders and accessing tight spaces
