HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Specialist II to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii.  The Information Assurance Specialist II will support cybersecurity and information assurance initiatives in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks across networks, systems, and applications, ensuring compliance with DoD and industry security standards.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities affecting networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives.
  • Develop, test, and operate firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus solutions, and software deployment tools.
  • Perform testing and debugging of programs and scripts, preparing instructions for network exploitation activities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of IA policy, tactics, techniques, and doctrine to meet reporting requirements and security structures.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of cybersecurity requirements to enhance system security.
  • Ensure compliance with government cybersecurity policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
  • Provide expertise on security strategies and defense tactics to support mission-critical defense projects.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of security practices, threat mitigation, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ability to lead and direct cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance required; must be eligible to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working with command and control networks and specialized security technologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies and operational security requirements.
  • Strong technical expertise in firewall management, intrusion detection, and malware prevention.
  • This position offers a critical role in cybersecurity operations, supporting national defense infrastructure and security assurance strategies.
