Job Description

DPMA has openings for Engineering Support and Drawing Configuration Management Controller Internships within our organization.  These are Hybrid positions are for 1st shift Monday thru Friday starting immediately.  Mission Technology is looking for candidates that are very detailed, desiring professional growth, enjoy learning different standard concepts within both Logistic and Configuration Management.  These positions are great for individuals attending colleges/universities and looking for a career in technical and Logistic management.   

 

A successful candidate will have the ability to learn and understand systems and tools used to support drawing development/distribution.  In addition, demonstrate problem-solving skills and participate in providing feedback to improve processes.   DPMA is looking for individuals that flexible in their efforts and are able to adjust and learn new skills.   Some experience with Adobe Acrobat Acrobat Pro is desired.  Ability to work with duplication of CD's/DVD's.
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Reviewing engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements.  Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and engineering orders reflect latest requirements.  Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals.  Confirming all documents have required approvals.  Compiling release packages while making sure that all documentation is present.  Notifying appropriate departments of any new or updated data. Maintaining audit trails. Researching and resolving inconsistencies with design, production, material, or program office.  Providing quality controls methods such as QC'ing and auditing documents and revisions. Utilizing a duplicator to make labels/CD and DVD's for our internal and external customers contractual needs. 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with up to 20% of the required credits completed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent writing, communication and listening skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be diligent, hardworking and a fast learner.
  • Desires to gain professional experience and is eager to learn.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Preferred Requirements

 

  • Basic Naval Ship Drawing Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of system configuration management and a broad technical understanding of logistics products.
  • Managing and organizing Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word documents.
  • Customer service experience is also strongly desired.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro is desired.
  • Experience with duplication of CD's/DVD's

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
