HII-Mission Technologies has an immediate exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our dynamic team. The results-oriented candidate will focus on full life cycle recruiting for various ship repair contracts to support our Fleet Sustainment Operation.
This is a hybrid role with a flexible schedule in our NetCenter location in Hampton, VA.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews to recruit prospective employees and refer job applicants to specific job openings.
- Evaluate employment factors such as job experience, education and training, skills, knowledge and abilities, physical and personal qualifications, and other data pertinent to classification, selection, and referral.
- Prepare rating on applicants, make recommendations on starting salaries, and provide applicants with information on the company.
- Extend formal job offers, work with outside agencies and vendors, etc.
- Responsible for full cycle recruiting process to meet the various staffing goals.
- Establish partnerships with trades schools and various trades organizations.
- Develop strong relationships and partner with hiring managers and business leaders.
- Work closely with Hiring Managers to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process.
- Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies utilizing all tools such as direct sourcing, online resume databases, social networking, and job events.
- Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
- Regular follow up with the respective hiring managers and candidates to ensure timeliness of recruitment process.
What you need to have:
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience with proactive sourcing methods to include leveraging job boards, Boolean searches, CRM, ATS, career fairs, and social media, among other methods, to maximize candidate quality and personal productivity.
- Expertise with an automated applicant tracking system.
- Experience with high volume recruiting.
- Highly proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
- This position requires the ability to travel for recruitment meetings and various hiring and networking events.
Bonus points for:
- Experience in recruiting with a government contractor.
- Ability to add strategic impact and influence with hiring decisions to include taking initiative on new recruiting methodology and creative approaches to hiring.
- General human resource and compensation knowledge.
- Understanding of common staffing metrics and functions.
- Knowledge of EEO, ADA and OFCCP requirement.
