Who We Are

We are seeking an experienced Engineer Logistics 3 to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting logistics operations and providing engineering expertise to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of critical systems and materials. You will work closely with cross functional teams, managing logistics processes that span the entire lifecycle of systems, from initial design and development to deployment and sustainment. 

What You Will Do

  • Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment.
  • Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks.
  • Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers.
  • Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy.
  • Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support.
  • Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
  • Revising or developing Maintenance Standards which are used to specify minimum requirements for acceptable refurbishment of components, including testing / inspection criteria and parts replacement information.
  • Developing Windchill Content and SUBMEPP Products to Component matrices.
  • Maintenance Instruction Documents are invoked in SUBMEPPs Class Maintenance Plans and utilized in the execution to perform submarine planned Intermediate "I" and Depot "D" level maintenance for submarine Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and Combat Systems components.

What You Must Have

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a CONFIDENTIAL level security clearance.
  • Candidate must have experience working with and ability to read/interpret piping arrangement drawings, system diagram drawings, vendor equipment drawings etc. for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical  (HM&E) and or Combat Systems that are related to Military ship vessels.
  • Candidate must have the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively and express (oral/written)  ideas clearly and concisely  within the organization and to the customer.
  • Candidate must be PC literate, and be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Products and  generation of Microsoft Word  documents; Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, and occasionally PowerPoint  presentation graphics.

Bonus Points For Having!

  • Shipboard piping system design, installation, and or maintenance & testing technician experience or experience from serving in the US Navy within an HM&E and or Combat Systems job rating desirable.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment.
