Job Description

HII-Technical Solutions Division (HII-TSD) is currently seeking a Computer Network Administrator 4 to support our USARPAC customer.  


Come join our team supporting US Army Pacific, in Honolulu Hawaii!  The INDOPACOM combatant command theater covers over half the earth’s surface and provides unique challenges to our National Defense strategy.  We are building a team of professionals to deliver innovative solutions to our customer in a dynamic strategic environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Designs and plans network systems.
  • Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network systems.
  • Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, switchers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
  • Evaluates and reports on new network technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
  • Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
  • Considered expert in field within the organization.
  • Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors; 7 years relevant experience with Masters; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate ; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • DOD 8570 certification - A+, Network+, CCNA, CEH or CISSP certification
  • Experience with managing services for streaming video, GIS, and remote sensing operations centers
  • Configuration of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS, BGP, and LDP
  • Clearance: Must have an active TS/SCI.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or related technical discipline
  • Telecommunications, long haul circuits, satellite communications, and fiber optic links.
  • Management/tracking utilities such as Jira, Redmine, or similar
  • Running Internet facing or Service Level Agreement (SLA'd) auto-deployed environments
  • Real-time media protocols (Real-time Transport Protocol (RTP), Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP))
  • Network management tools (HPOV, HPNA, Solarwinds, MNS, Netcool, etc).
  • Cloud environments using Azure and/or Amazon Web services.
