HII-Mission Technologies Division is currently seeking a Senior Korean Cryptologic Language Analyst to perform tasks required to process language materials/data at the customer site in Fort Meade, Maryland! *C

What you will do

The candidate shall demonstrate the following cryptologic language processing skills:

 

  • Scanning, sorting/categorizing foreign language written and verbal materials to recover essential elements of information
  • Completing lists, translations, and transcriptions, of complex and sophisticated written and/or spoken materials from required language to English, and English to the required language
  • Performing quality control on language processing activities
  • Compiling and updating operational work aids and databases
  • Drafting intelligence reports

What we are looking for

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
  • Performance at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) skill level 3 in audio translation or text translation from required language into idiomatic, standard American English; skill level shall be documented within 2 years prior to resume submission
  • 1 year of experience in Quality Control at ILR level 3 in target language
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly

Bonus points for...

  • 10-15 years of experience or 4-8 years translation experience as a target language native speaker (used dialect for at least 15 years in a region where commonly used or 10 years of formal education in language) 
  • 10 years in crypto language processing, related language, and/or crypto experience
    • Related Language Experience: (In target language) oral translations, non-crypto audio/graphic translations, doc exploitation, formal teaching
    • Crypto Experience: target development, network analysis, drafting intel reports, speaker/language identification
  • 6 of 10 years in crypto language processing plus QC’ing and mentoring
  • 6 of 10 years has to be in the required language (if candidate has worked with multiple languages)
    • 4 of 6 years performing crypto language processing must be in target language
    • 3 of 6 years simply translating, transcribing, and gisting must be in target language
    • 1 of 6 years in target language has to be within 6 yrs of resume submission
  • No more than 3 of 10 yrs reporting as primary duty
  • ILR skill level 3 in both audio and graphic
