Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Asset Manager to support our mission at the  Joint Integration Test Command  (JITC) lab  at Fort Meade, MD.   This is an opportunity to work with new and emerging Mission Partner Environment technologies to help support our customer and their mission.   You will manage these assets, maintain inventories, support procurements,  coordinate support agreements, and participate in scoping authorized system changes.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Analyzes technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customers. May forecast and manage budget system.  Duties will also include:

  • Provides expeditious asset procurement (order, staging, and delivery), logistics (inventory, accountability, control, disposition, and disposal), and related automated data processing equipment (ADPE) management support.
  • Procure all assets necessary to execute operations including (but not limited to) hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and support agreements.

  • Use appropriate database tools and processes to manage specified hardware/software assets to include but not limited to Cisco Inventory Collection and Reporting System (ICRS), My Cisco Entitlements and Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
  • Recommend an appropriate spare inventory for approval.  After approval, maintain the spare inventory of common use items and of long lead-time hardware, software, and network resources that are available for anticipated needs. The spares will be rotated to the operational systems to ensure the viability of the spares inventory
  • Use the appropriate Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Disposition Services processes and procedures for USG property approved for disposal by the Government Property Lead and update records with the disposition.    
  • Maintain a monthly equipment tracking log.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • Practical communication skills (written and verbal), ensuring clear and effective communication with technical peers
  • Experience with US Department of Defense procurement, inventory, and disposition practices

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous or complimentary system administrator experience with common commercial system applications  (Windows 2019, VMWare, RedHat Enterprise Linux, etc.)
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Knowledge of new and emerging IT and cybersecurity technologies
  • Experience using Defense Priorities & Allocations System Program  (DPAS)
  • Experience using Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
