This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Job Description

Join HII Mission Technologies, a leading defense contractor, and become a vital part of our mission-driven team supporting national security operations at Fort Meade. We’re seeking a skilled and security-cleared Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance networks in a SCIF environment. Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including SIPRNet and NIPRNet domains
  • Manage network hardware (Cisco, Juniper), authentication servers, and VoIP systems
  • Implement and maintain network security protocols, STIGs, and TCNO patches
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in classified environments
  • Support C4I infrastructure, including cryptologic hardware and fiber communications
  • Maintain network documentation, logical diagrams, and rekeying schedules
  • Provide Tier III support and collaborate with cybersecurity and systems teams
  • Ensure compliance with DoD and NSA network security standards

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant network engineering experience
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and network segmentation
  • Familiarity with SolarWinds, Junos Space, and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience operating within SCIF environments

Preferred Requirements

  • Certifications:

    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
    • Juniper Networks Certified Specialist (JNCIS-ENT)
    • VMware Component Protection (VMCP)
  • Experience with:

    • VoIP deployment and troubleshooting
    • Network segmentation and Zero Trust architectures
    • Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
    • Identity Services Engine (ISE) and multifactor authentication
  • Familiarity with classified enclave operations and cross-domain solutions

Physical Requirements

Will require working in a SCIF environment; lifting, bending, squatting, crawling as needed in support of networking operations.
