Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations Planning in Ramstein AB, Germany. The ISR Operations Planner will provide expertise, support, analysis and recommendations regarding Air Force ISR operational planning requirements. This position will focus primarily on United States Air Forces Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) intelligence directorate’s (A2) requirements for the Strategy, Plans and Capabilities division (A2O) and requires a deep understanding of intelligence planning procedures, information flows, joint staff interactions and associated tools.

What You Will Do

  • Provide knowledge, advice, and analysis of USAFE-AFAFRICA/A2’s ISR operations planning requirements and provide recommendations to Air Force staff regarding strategic interactions, dependencies and challenges.
  • Provide A2 senior leaders with recommendations regarding ISR planning, deployment, operations, and integration of advanced technologies and capabilities.
  • Develop, author, deliver and brief Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Operation Plans (OPLANS) in accordance with military leadership guidance.
  • Provide professional support in the implementation of ISR platforms and systems by conducting analysis on mission requirements and available or emerging solutions.  
  • Conduct research and development on emerging ISR Planning capabilities; provide assistance in the advancement of current and future capabilities.
  • Conduct research and produce tailored training briefs, white papers, and other products related to ISR operations planning efforts.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • 5 years of ISR operations planning experience at a Combatant Command, Air Operations Center (AOC), MAJCOM, or Combat Support Agency.
  • Member must have strong working knowledge of military command structure, Joint Staff processes, and combatant command hierarchy; knowledge of Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells and Working Groups. (B2C2WG) and Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP) processes.
  • The ability to prepare professionally written documents, products, and briefing materials.  Must bring proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as the ability to conduct presentations and briefing to senior government and military leaders
  • Must work independently as well as in conjunction with other community professionals and technical SME to produce ISR inputs and finished products.
  • Must be eligible for Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) as issued by the DOCPER office.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

  • Recent work history supporting US military operations in the European and African Areas of Responsibility. 
  • Prior work history with USAFE-AFAFRICA as an intelligence professional (e.g. active-duty service member, government civilian, or DoD contractor)
  • A willingness to continue learning and improving, sometimes in the context of assuming new responsibilities or duties.
