This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations.

Job Description

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Analytic Methodologist (Intelligence Analyst 4-5) to support high‑priority intelligence operations for U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This role combines advanced analytic tradecraft with SOF‑focused operational intelligence expertise. The ideal candidate is a multi‑INT fusion expert who can turn complex data into clear, decision‑ready intelligence for commanders, while also ensuring analytic rigor, structured methodologies, and high‑quality assessments.

 

You will apply proven analytic frameworks, targeting methodologies, and multi‑INT integration processes to help shape SOF planning, targeting, and operational execution in dynamic environments. This position is for an experienced analytic professional who understands SOF intelligence, ISR, and the full spectrum of analytic methodologies used across the DoD and Intelligence Community.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Fuse multi‑INT reporting (SIGINT, HUMINT, GEOINT, MASINT, OSINT) into comprehensive assessments that directly support SOF targeting, planning, and operations.
  • Apply structured analytic techniques, advanced methodologies, and predictive models to produce decision‑quality intelligence for commanders.
  • Conduct analysis within SOF‑relevant frameworks such as F3EAD, Joint Targeting Cycle support, and network analysis processes.
  • Evaluate multi‑INT collection effectiveness using standardized MOEs, MOPs, and ISR assessment methodologies.
  • Identify intelligence gaps, emerging trends, and opportunities using tools and processes common across the SOF intelligence community.
  • Apply analytic tradecraft and operational frameworks such as CARVER, target system analysis, and problem‑centric modeling to help refine SOF collection and targeting.
  • Interpret large, complex datasets using tools such as Python, R, Palantir Gotham, Tableau, ArcGIS, and multi‑INT exploitation environments.
  • Utilize intelligence systems commonly employed in SOF intelligence operations, such as JWICS, MIDB, DCGS‑SOF, GEOINT enterprise exploitation tools, and SIGINT analytic platforms.
  • Provide senior‑level analytic input during Operational Planning Teams (OPTs), working groups, targeting boards, and intelligence briefings.
  • Ensure analytic quality, mitigate bias, and apply validated methodologies to improve SOF intelligence production and targeting accuracy.
  • Coordinate analytic assessments with IC and allied partners to ensure timely dissemination and shared understanding
  • Optional labor may support emerging requirements related to adversarial malign‑influence or disruptive activity impacting SOF operations

Minimum Qualifications

LEVEL 4 = 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

LEVEL 5 = 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in analytics, data science, intelligence studies, statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience can be substituted for education).
  • Graduate of an in‑residence DoD or Intelligence Community collection management or threat intelligence or analytic tradecraft course.
  • Experience supporting DoD or IC intelligence analysis, multi‑INT fusion, or joint targeting support.
  • Familiarity with structured analytic techniques, analytic tradecraft standards, and methodology frameworks used within SOCOM.
  • Experience with SOF analytic platforms and systems such as Palantir Gotham, Python/R, Tableau, ArcGIS, and multi‑INT exploitation tools.
  • Ability to produce clear, decision‑ready intelligence for senior operational leaders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including senior‑level briefing experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience supporting USSOCOM, TSOCs, SOJTFs, or SOF components.
  • Experience with SOF mission planning, targeting processes, or operational intelligence support.
  • Familiarity with ACCM/STO environments and advanced SOF‑related tradecraft.
  • Experience developing predictive models, risk analysis frameworks, or advanced multi‑INT analytic methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead analytic efforts across IC and DoD partners in high‑tempo environments.
  • Familiarity with SOCOM‑specific analytic or assessment systems, including:
    • SOCRATES (SOCOM Reporting & Targeting Enterprise Services)
    • SOF‑specific COP layers used for collection/assessment visualization
      TALON/Interact SOF data‑sharing environments
    • F3EAD‑aligned assessment tools supporting SOF targeting cycles
  • Experience applying advanced analytic methods (machine learning, predictive modeling, Bayesian inference, regression analysis).
  • Knowledge of WMD/CBRNE threat assessment, irregular warfare intelligence problems, or malign influence analytic frameworks.
  • Experience training analysts or SOF personnel on analytic methodologies, data visualization, or ISR assessment techniques.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
