Our team is looking for qualified Staffing Solution Architect with FEDSIM and related staffing plan development experience.  This includes proposal professionals with experience in some or all aspects of FEDSIM and IAC MAC staffing plans including, staffing rationale, Labor Basis of Estimate (LBOE) development, KPQMs, script writing, and slide development.  If you have this experience, we are interested in working with you to lead HII through the next phase of our growth.

This position is within the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) organization which supports HII's largest, most strategic bids across the enterprise. As such, this is an exciting role for those that want to make an immediate impact and be recognized for their contributions to our organization. This role is to support competitive FEDSIM proposal bids working directly with Capture Managers, Technical Solution Architects, Proposal Managers, and Volume Leads to develop work products to create technical and management solutions. Candidate will be responsible for leading and providing proposal expertise to all business Groups.  The Staffing Solution Architect should have a proven successful track record on large, complex bids.

Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!

•    Assignments will include, but are not limited to writing and leading FEDSIM staffing plans, staffing rationale. 
•    Works with Human Resources and Pricing Teams in developing detailed staffing solutions and works with IT staff to automate functions as necessary
•    Provides direction and oversight to supporting writers
•    Works as part of a collaborative team to clearly articulate the staffing strategy and solution, that supports HII’s approach to performing the work
•    Compiles data from various sources (Resume databases, RFP/TOR requirements etc.) in building comprehensive staffing profiles by task.
•    Applies communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities.
•    Writes clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections; translates complex ideas into easily understandable text.
•    Develops and implements process improvements to help improve proposal quality.
 

What you must have:

•    10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
•    Experience with FEDSIM and IAC MAC staffing solution development
•    Demonstrated success proposal development skills (writing and leading technical, management, staffing, resume, and/or past performance volumes for complex efforts)
•    Excellent writing skills
•    Excellent organizational and leadership skills
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•    Strong work ethic and desire to excel and keep growing over time
•    Experience with traditional video, live orals, and / or demonstration proposals
•    Candidate must have the ability to travel to support proposal efforts, primarily in the Washington DC metro, as needed.

Bonus Points/ Preferred Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6+ years of related experience, 4+ years of related experience; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience. 6 years working as a proposal writer and 3+ years developing detailed Staffing Plans responding to Federal Government solicitations
•    Broad experience base (i.e. pricing, HR, proposal development, capture, program management, etc.)
•    3+ years’ experience supporting FEDSIM and IAC MAC proposals
•    Active Secret clearance – Top Secret preferred (SCI eligible)
•    Experience in working with technical and management teams to assess requirements and convey into total proposal solution
•    Experience with working on solutions in an assisted acquisition environment, including FEDSIM
•    Ability to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities effectively to capture and proposal teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts
 

Physical Requirements

Job performance will normally require only minor lifting and carrying of boxes of records or equipment.
