Summary
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Senior Compensation Analyst to support the delivery and administration of our compensation programs. This position is hybrid based out of our Fair Lakes, VA office. This role provides subject-matter expertise in market benchmarking, job evaluation, compensation planning and data analysis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working with HR partners and business leaders to ensure our compensation practices remain competitive, compliance and aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the administration and maintenance of compensation and incentive programs, ensuring policies and procedures align with a market-competitive and performance-based culture.
- Conduct market pricing and benchmarking analysis, ensuring accurate job evaluations and data integrity across a variety of roles, including technical and specialized positions.
- Review and assess classification and compensation changes, providing recommendations based on role scope, employee qualifications, company policy, and budgetary constraints.
- Perform job evaluations and support the development and maintenance of job structures and internal equity frameworks.
- Support annual compensation processes, including annual merit cycles, bonus plans, and equity programs, And related reporting data and validation.
- Provide strategic consultation to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisitions and business leaders, delivering insights and solutions that align with organizational goals and provide guidance on pay decisions, offers, and compensation practices.
- Support compensation needs related to technical functions, in a government contracting environment, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Provide analytical support for compensation initiatives, including modeling, scenario analysis, forecasting, and trend identification.
Support international compensation needs. - Develop clear and concise communication materials, summaries, and presentations for HR partners, Talent Acquisitions and business stakeholders. Deliver trainings throughout the year in support of key compensation processes and programs.
- Help drive compensation project work, including leading smaller initiatives, research, documentation, program testing, process improvements and automations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing compensation practices, including union agreements where applicable.
What you need to have:
- 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
- 6+ years of progressive compensation experience.
- Strong background in job evaluation, benchmarking methodologies, and compensation analysis.
- Experience supporting compensation needs for technical roles and/or government contracting environments (preferred).
- Solid project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Experience identifying opportunities for process improvement and leveraging automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in compensation workflows.
- Proficient with compensation tools and systems a plus (e.g., MarketPay, SuccessFacors, Radford, Mercer, etc.).
Bonus points for:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Finance, Business, or related field; CCP.
- Experience with international compensation and expatriate programs.
- Experience supporting compensation needs for technical roles and/or government contracting environments.
