Who we are

HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a reliable and professional Receptionist to work out of our Fair Lakes, VA office. The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, ensuring a positive and professional image of the organization. This position involves a combination of administrative tasks across various functional areas and will be responsible for representing the organizational unit on administrative matters, interpreting and implementing company policies, and preparing essential reports as needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors and clients, providing them with necessary information and assistance.
  • Maintain visitor badges and loaner badges and reconcile and the end of the day.
  • Schedules and maintains master conference room edit rights, receives mail/delivery/messenger/courier items, assists with special event coordination as needed.
  • Maintains and updates vendor files. Serves as liaison for vendors, and reviews or approves vendor invoices as necessary.
  • Handle incoming calls, redirecting them to appropriate personnel or departments.
  • Manage mail and package distribution efficiently.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and maintaining records accurately.
  • Recommend, interpret, and implement company administrative policies and procedures, ensuring compliance throughout the organization.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Manage inventory of office supplies, ensuring they are well-stocked.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs of office equipment with IT when necessary.
  • Coordinate or assist in scheduling of conference rooms within the facility.
  • Handle sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality with regards to organizational and employee-related matters.
  • Act as liaison between HII and Property Management.
  • Responsible for employee headcount during fire drills and emergencies.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities approved by Supervisor. 

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (with 0 years of experience) or a High School Diploma or equivalent (with 2 years of relevant experience).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor, friendly personality, and the ability to work well with diverse teams.
  • Understanding of administrative procedures and company policies.
