This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies (HII-MT) is seeking a Video & Graphics Specialist. This position is a part-time, requirements-based work arrangement which supports the C5ISR Group of HII-MT. The position requires creativity, vision, and experience in multi-media content creation, editing, and development.  In this role you will contribute your experience in digital media, graphic design, and social media tools. You will be part of a small team that supports requirements at all levels, including corporate media, customer engagement, and individual employee training. 

What You Will Do

  • Conceives, designs, lays out, and coordinates editorial illustrations and creative artwork.
  • Develops interpretive themes that convey ideas and information.
  • Creates graphic presentations that communicate mood, emphasis, insight, viewpoint, and similar visual impressions.
  • Provides guidance on graphic technology.
  • Writing detailed scripts and storyboards to outline the video structure, including key points, visuals, and pacing.
  • Assembling video footage, adding transitions, and editing sequences to create a logical flow.
  • Uploading videos to the appropriate learning management system (LMS) or platform.
  • Ensure all multimedia content meets the company's brand standards and quality requirements.
  • May provide computer graphic services for web artwork.
  • May also have responsibility or input on reproduction and printing processes through in-house resources or outside vendors.

What We Are Looking For

  • 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in content creation or similar graphic design work (college or academic program training is considered experience). 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience in common video and graphic software, such as Adobe (Pr, Ae, Ps), Final Cut Pro X, Apple Motion, DaVinci Resolve, etc. 
  • Demonstrated experience using standard business applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint.
  • Ability to develop and deliver media tools for a variety of administrative functions conducted by programs, program managers, and their supporting staff. (Audience ranges from internal (employees) to external (customer, govt).  
  • Some experience using and working with Social Media Platforms and their associated tools or interface.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in content creation. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Candidate should be currently enrolled in or have previously completed academic training in a related discipline (ex. media, graphic arts, cinematography).
  • Must be willing to learn new skills, software, or workflows that are relevant to the work being performed.  

Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Experience in creating short video tutorials and written help guides. 
  • Experience editing existing content to make it more efficient and user-friendly.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (university, college, arts institute).
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
