This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Military Equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our government clients as well as our proposal development team.  In this role, you will review and evaluate existing and planned enterprise-level systems, processes, and programs across the DoD and IC to ensure the business area portfolio is optimized to meet the operational warfighter, acquisition community, and senior policymaker needs.  SME duties include research and analysis, recommendations, development of position papers, responses, talking points, memorandums, briefings, and correspondence as required on critical military equipping and modernization (e.g., sensors, aviation platforms, maritime platforms) capabilities.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as a SME for enterprise-level equipping, research and development, test, training, and fielding support to the U.S. military and other various government clients' missions involving Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and aviation and maritime platform modification.
  • Assist in the management, organization, assessment, and monitor the determination, organization, and prioritization of military equipping requirements.
  • Integrate requirements across tactical, operational, and strategic levels of operations which include direct support to the planning and operations staff to identify capabilities and limitations of enemy forces and identifying potential enemy vulnerabilities.
  • Provide SME support to proposal development with understanding of multiple aviation and maritime ground vehicle military platforms.
  • Support production of Annexes and Appendices to Deliberate and Contingency Plans.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement OPSEC and signature management into supported operations.
  • Provide liaison and coordination between combatant commands and their components as well as US Govt. Interagency.
  • Participate in committees and working groups concerned with planning and CONOP development.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and meetings in support of the company and client objectives.

What we are looking for 

  • 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.
  • Ten (10) years of experience integrating requirements across tactical, operational, and strategic levels of operations to include direct support to the planning and operations staff to identify and make recommendations on military equipping capabilities and limitations.
  • Ten (10) years’ of experience communicating, directing, organizing, assessing, and monitoring the determination, organization, and prioritization of military equipping requirements.
  • Five (5) years’ experience working in a multi-skilled team environment collaborating on the production of intelligence products
  • Experience in with the equipping of a large military enterprise and briefing within a Unified Combatant Commander's Intelligence Enterprise, the U.S. Intelligence Community, and the Interagency
  • Knowledge in the managing and sustainment of multiple aviation platforms, both manned and unmanned 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in developing alternative sources of non-traditional information for DOD customer.
  • Valid US Passport 
  • Clearance:  Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
     

Bonus Points for...

  • Experience directing applicable enterprise solutions. 
  • 4-years’ experience working with sensor systems, aviation platforms, or maritime platforms.
  • Experience with platforms in deployed environments.
  • Experience supporting a USCCMD.
  • Experience working in classified and sensitive programs.
     

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
