Who we are
HII-Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Labor Analyst to join our company. This position will be located in our Fairfax, VA office. This position will be responsible for all aspects of processing labor, support payroll process, to include reviewing and understanding labor transactions, reviewing payroll changes, and maintaining an effective labor and payroll procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the labor process, such as approving transactions, importing timesheets timesheet audit and review of labor postings.
- Work with the project teams to process labor corrections and respond to any queries about labor postings.
- Managing payroll data changes.
- Processing payroll
- Work with benefits and our benefits vendors to ensure all benefits related input is accurate and complete.
- Ensure regular communication with benefits to stay current on all changes.
- Stay up-to-date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll and tax laws and organizational policies.
- Maintaining payroll systems and reporting any issues to management.
- Review the monthly reconciliation of all labor and payroll related accounts
- Auditing payroll transactions to ensure that accounts, payment dates, and taxes are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure timely and professional responses to payroll questions.
- End of year W2 processing.
- Coordinate with internal & external audits.
- Creating monthly and annual payroll reports for management review.
- Attending to any payroll-related queries or questions from employees.
- Manage payroll discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
What you need to have:
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with labor legislation and federal tax laws.
- Experience with processing payrolls for multiple states.
- The ability to ethically work with employee-sensitive information.
- Solid knowledge of data entry management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
- Experience with Costpoint & T&E.
